DELICIOUS CHURMA LADDU FOR FESTIVALS

HOW TO MAKE CHURMA LADDU?

HAVE YOU HEARD ABOUT CHURMA LADDU?

IF NOT, I SHALL INTRODUCE YOU.
Churma means Rava, made out of wheat flour and fine rava, which is mixed with ghee, deep fried, and then again powdered to form CHURMA. 
Takes time for making, but is worth it, because of its taste.
THIS IS MADE IN BOTH SOUTH AND NORTH INDIA BUT WITH DIFFERENT METHODS.
IN THE SOUTH, POORI IS MADE DEEP FRIED AND POWDERED COARSELY  TO MAKE RAVA. 
IN NORTH INDIA IT IS MADE IN STILL ANOTHER METHOD.
I will be showing you this simple method.

HOW TO MAKE CHURMA LADDU?

LET US SEE THE INGREDIENTS NEEDED:

  1. Wheat flour-2 cups
  2. Fine semolina (rava)-1 cup
  3. Powdered sugar-1. 1/4 cup to 1.5 cup
  4. Dry grated coconut-1cup
  5. Pure ghee-1/4 cup or more
  6. Cashew-1 tablespoon
  7. Almonds-12-15 in number
  8. Dry grapes-1 tablespoon
  9. Cardamom powder-1 teaspoon
  10. Water for kneading the dough 3000ml or as required
  11. Oil -to deep fry the dumplings of dough to make CHURMA

TO MAKE CHURMA FOR CHURMA LADDU

  1. Take a big mixing bowl or parath. (big plate)
  2. Add Wheat flour, Rava, and 1/4 cup ghee into it.
  3. Combine all of them nicely.

  • Now add or sprinkle water and start kneading so that you can make dumplings out of it.
  • For making dumplings simply take about a handful of dough and make a fist pressing the dough in, side by fingers.
  • Similarly, make all till the dough finishes.

  • Now keep a deep fry pan to heat the oil on a medium flame.
  • As soon as the oil is hot drop the dough dumplings in it as much as possible.
  • Cook for about 8 to 10 mts or till it turns to golden brown color.

  • When done remove on a plate and allow to cool.

  • Break them into smaller pieces, so that they cool faster and also become easier to put in a mixer.
  • Take a multi-mix jar and put the broken pieces.

  • Run for a few seconds to grind in the mixer, to get Soft Rava.

  • Further, sieve the ground powder to get even-sized Rava Particles.

  • Now take a small fry pan, put two tablespoons of Ghee in it, and heat on a low flame.
  • When hot, add cut almonds and cashew chopped.
  • when both of them turn crispy, golden brown, turn off the flame and put dry grapes.
  • Now dry fruits are ready to be used.

mixing for making churma laddu:-

  • Now on a big mixing plate put Churma, Powdered Sugar, Grated dry coconut, Cardamom powder, and fried dry fruits.
  • Combine all of them and give it a good mix with your hand so that it is mixed well.

  • NOW TRY MAKING LADDUS WITH YOUR HAND PRESSING EVENLY FROM ALL THE SIDES
  • .( ADD ABOUT 1/4 CUP HOT GHEE  IF LADDU BREAKS)
Convert all of the mix into LADDU

This laddu is very Delicious, Yummy, Soft, and has a very different taste.
Once you make it and taste it, you will repeat.
SO ENJOY ANY TIME
NOTE:-If you want to keep it for a longer time, roast dry coconut (grated) before mixing.
