INGREDIENTS NEEDED FOR COCONUT GREEN CHUTNEY

- Fresh coconut-6 tablespoon(grated)
- Roasted grams (puffed chana dal))-4 tablespoon
- Fresh coriander)leaves-handful
- Fresh Mint leaves(pudina)leaves-few
- Curry leaves 15 to 20 numbers
- Green chillies-4 to 6 numbers or according to taste
- Garlic-6 to 8 numbers
- Lemon (juice)-1 medium size
- Table 3/4 tea spoon or according to taste
- Water to grind chutney-1/2 to 3/4 cup
PREPARATIONS FOR MAKING COCONUT GREEN CHUTNEY
- First, grate fresh coconut
- Wash green chilies, coriander leaves, mint leaves and ginger – chop roughly
- Remove skin of garlic
- Squeeze the juice from lemon
- Take a grinder jar, and add roasted gram,green chilly, coriander leaves ,mint leaves, ginger and garlic.
- Add a little water and grind coarsely.
- Now add coconut and grind once more.
- Lastly add juice of 1 lime .
- Add salt according to the taste.
- Mix well. .
INGREDIENTS FOR GARNISHING THE COCONUT GREEN CHUTNEY
- Oil -1 tablespoon
- Mustard seeds -1 teaspoon
- Urad dal-1 teaspoon
- Hing – A small pinch
- Fresh curry leaves -8 to 10 numbers
METHOD FOR GARNISHING THE COCONUT GREEN CHUTNEY
- Heat a small fry pan or kadhai.
- Add 1 tablespoon oil to it .
- when heated add urad dal, mustard seeds and hing.
- Mustard seeds should crackle,and urad dal should turn to golden yellow.Put off the flame.
- Now add curry leaves.It becomes crispy.
- Pour it on top of the chutney.
