DELICIOUS JUICY HONEY CAKE

HOW TO MAKE HONEY CAKE? DO YOU WANT TO KNOW?
HONEY CAKE  is a very EASY, JUICY, SOFT, AND SPONGY CAKE. 
This cake doesn’t need any EGG, CREAM, OR BUTTER.  NO ICING NEEDED.
Yet the CAKE IS VERY YUMMY AND ATTRACTIVE, you can not resist eating.
Let us look at the ingredients needed for this lovely honey cake.

INGREDIENTS NEEDED FOR THE HONEY CAKE

  1. Maida (all-purpose flour)-1 cup
  2. Milk-1/2 cup
  3. Curds-1/4 cup (sweet) at room temperature
  4. Powdered sugar-1/3 cup
  5. Oil-any 1/4 cup
  6. Baking powder-3/4 teaspoon
  7. Baking soda-1/2 teaspoon
  8. Vanilla essence-8-10 drops

PREPARATIONS TO BE DONE FOR MAKING HONEY CAKE.

  • Sieve Maida, Baking powder, and Baking soda to mix them uniformly and remove lumps if any.
  • Grind the sugar granules, to a fine powder.
  • Now take a mixing bowl.

  • Put curds and oil and beat it with a whisk or electric beater till light. (for 2 mts)
  • Now add powdered sugar to it and blend again till light and creamy.

  • Now is the time to incorporate maida, slowly adding milk.
  • Mix in the cut and fold method, till you get an Idly batter consistency.
  • Add vanilla Essence at this stage.

PREPARATION FOR BAKING HONEY CAKE

  • Take a baking tray, preferably square-shaped.
  • You can smear oil and dust with dry maida or use parchment paper to oil it. (no need to dust maida)

  • MEANWHILE, PREHEAT THE OVEN FOR 10 MTS AT 180 * C

BAKING THE CAKE
  • Put the cake batter in the prepared pan and keep it in the oven to bake for 20-25 Mts.

  • You can see the surface becomes brown and the cake swells.

  • SIDES OF THE CAKE PAN STARTS LEAVING  THE CAKE, now your cake is ready.
  • cool it on a wire rack.
  • THIS IS THE BASIC CAKE THAT HAS TO BE CONVERTED INTO A HONEY CAKE 
  • For this, we need the following ingredients:

  1. Water-3/4 cup
  2. Sugar (normal)-3 -1/2 tablespoon
  3. Honey-3-4 tablespoon
  4. Mixed fruit jam-2-3 tablespoon
  5. Desiccated coconut or homemade dry coconut powder,2- tablespoons.
METHOD
  • Heat a saucepan and add 3/4 cup water.
  • Add three and a half tablespoons of sugar to it and let it dissolve completely.
  • Put off the flame, and cool till lukewarm.
  • Now is the time to add honey to that and give a mix.

  • PRICK THE CAKE FROM ALL THE SIDES AND ON TOP WITH A TOOTHPICK.(SO THAT THE SYRUP PENETRATES INSIDE THE CAKE WHEN POURED ON IT)

  • Keep about 2 tablespoons of this syrup, mix the fruit jam, and put a layer on the cake.

  • Spread evenly and on top sprinkle Desiccated coconut powder.
