Healthy drumstick soup
HE FRIENDS, today let’s make a very healthy and nutritious DRUMSTICK SOUP, which is very simple and easy to make.
DRUMSTICK is also known as MORINGA and is called SAHJAN in INDIA. Drumsticks are the long, slender pods of the Moringa tree. These pods contain soft, juicy flesh and round, edible seeds. These pods give a very typical flavour and taste in sambhar, Soup, and curry.
EVEN THE LEAVES OF MORINGA TREE IS USED FOR MANY DISHES.
Drumsticks are rich in vitamins like A, C, B6, and IRON. It also supports immunity and bone health.
Flowers and leaves of the moringa tree are anti-inflammatory and also has anti oxidant properties.
After knowing the nutritional values of this super food, I think consuming it is very beneficial for our health. let’s make it.
Making soup is very simple. You have to boil the pods with onion, garlic, and ginger, along with some whole spices, grind, and strain. Soup is ready, serve hot with salt, pepper, limejuice and fresh coriander leaves.
INGREDIENTS NEEDED FOR MAKING DRUMSTICK SOUP.

- Drumsticks-2 medium-sized.
- Onion-1 medium-sized, roughly chopped
- Green chilies-2 medium hot
- Garlic -1 big clove
- Ginger-1 inc piece, roughly cut.
- Bunch of fresh coriander stems-1 small
- Bay leaf-1
- cloves-2 nos
- cinnamon-1 small piece
- Salt-to taste
- Water-2 glassful
GARNISHING AT LAST WHILE SERVING:-
- lemon juice-1 teaspoon
- pepper powder-1/2 teaspoon
- Fresh coriander leaves-1 teaspoon finely cut.
PREPARATION OF DRUMSTICK SOUP:-
- Choose a soft variety of drumsticks so that you get enough of the flesh part in it. This gives thickness to the soup’s consistency
- Wash and cut into 3-inch pieces.
- Remove the string from outside if it comes.
- Wash the coriander stems thoroughly
- Wash green chilies.
- Wash and cut the piece of ginger.
- Peel garlic.
- Remove the skin of the onion and cut it roughly.
COOKING OF THE DRUMSTICK SOUP:-
- Take a pan or kadhai, add all the ingredients and 2 glasses of water to it.

- Keep a lid to cover,and cook for at least 6-8 minuits.

- Check one of the drumsticks; if it is soft to the touch, it is done.

- Strain the water and put the remaining ingredients in a mixer to grind.

- Before putting them into the mixer, remove the whole spices. (cloves, cinnamon, and bay leaf).
- Now strain the ground mix through a sieve, pressing to remove the juice.

- Put the soup in a pan and boil.
- Now add the soup to the serving bowl, then sprinkle pepper powder, fresh coriander leaves, and lime juice.

- HOT, HEALTHY, TASTY, AND YUMMY DRUMSTICK SOUP IS READY TO SERVE.
