Moist and soft Orange-flavored cake?

Friends, the Christmas festival is fast approaching and whether people celebrate or not, they wait for cake.

This time I shall be showing you a very yummy soft, and moist orange-flavored cake which is my tried method.

From time to time I try to show you recipes according to the occasions, festivals, and seasons.

You might have seen my mango cake, Plum cake, and honey cake recipes, if not the link will be at the end of this recipe.

This is the season of oranges and you get very sweet, and juicy oranges.

SOFT AND MOIST ORANGE-FLAVORED CAKE

This moist and soft Orange flavored cake is very yummy in taste, contains no egg, needs no oven, and is filled with natural fruit juice and orange zest along with sugars, self-raising flour, and milk. For raising the cake, we used baking soda and baking powder with refined oil to give it a soft and moist texture.

Ingredients for the Orange-flavored cake

For batter of cake:-

  • 180 grams of Maida or self-raising flour.
  • 110 grams of- powdered sugar.
  • 3/4 cup of- fresh orange juice (should be sweet)
  • 1/4 -1/2 cup of fresh milk.
  • 1/4 cup of any odorless refined oil.
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
  • few tooty fruity, almonds & cashews, orange food color (optional).

Instructions for the preparation of Orange-flavored cake batter:-

  • Keep all the ingredients measured and ready to use.
  • Maida has to be sieved, and sugar powdered.

  • Remove the juice of 1-2 oranges or till you get 3/4 cup of juice.
  • grate the outer orange-colored skin very lightly to get at least 3/4 teaspoon of zest.

Making the cake batter:-

  • Take a mixing bowl, put the orange juice in it and add oil to it.

  • Now with the help of a whisk mix both of them till the color of the mix changes.

  • Now sieve maida, cooking soda, baking powder, and sugar together and keep ready.
  • Now start adding the flour mix gradually and also add the zest.

  • combine all in one direction and mix with a whisk.

  • Now is the time to add milk and make the batter in a thick flowing consistency. add food color ( orange) at this stage if you like.

BAKING METHOD OF ORANGE-FLAVORED CAKE:-

  • keep a thick-bottomed frying pan or pressure pan with some salt and a stand on it to heat.

  • let it heat for 10 mts before keeping the cake pot in it.
  • Now grease a cake pot, or a bread mold from inside with butter or oil and dust it with some dry maida flour to cover the grease this process gives a beautiful brown outside layer to the cake.

  • Now put the cake batter into the pan, spreading equally and tapping to remove air bubbles if any to avoid big tunnel formations in the cake.

  • Put the dry fruits of your choice on top. I have added some Cashews, Almonds, tooty fruity, etc.
  • Keep this on the hot stand in the pan and cover it so that hot air does not escape from inside.

  • let it bake for about 35 to 40 mts on low heat.
  • You can check how it swells.

  • Prick with a needle or long toothpick till the bottom of the cake pan and if the needle comes out clean that means the cake is done.
  • To get a good color you can bake the cake for 3-4 minutes more. you will also start getting a nice aroma from the cake.
  • Now put off the flame and leave for a few minutes. You can see that the sides of the cake is already leaving the pan.

  • Now turn once again and you will see a soft, but intact, yummy hot orange cake in front of you. This time keep this beautiful cake on a steel rack to cool.

  • Let it cool completely, but after that to avoid dryness in the cake and to keep the cake moist cover it with a kitchen cloth or paper.

Now is the time to enjoy the cake with your nearer and dearer once.

  • Cut to your desired sized pieces and relish.
