  • When the syrup starts boiling add about 1/8 cup of milk. (or 1/2 of what you had kept).

  • You will see that a few precipitates of dirt start floating on the surface.

YOU HAVE REMOVED 1/4 OF THE DIRT FROM THE SUGAR.
  • Again keep the strained syrup on the flame and when it starts boiling add curds,(1/2 of what you had kept).

  • Repeat this process two more times with the leftover milk and curd alternatively

  • FINALLY, YOU SEE A CLEAN AND CLEAR SUGAR SYRUP.
  • Keep this syrup on the lowest flame to fasten the cooking process while making the Idol.

GETTING THE MOLD READY TO USE FOR SUGAR IDOLS

  • Molds are usually made of wood.
  • So you have to wash and soak the Idols in water for about 2 hours and remove the excess water.
AVvXsEigYspcQstr0zTOZSmAo5Bg6cA1kIrVnzzk0eVtWAuYw39AjpLeNAKxxSDaorRHl0VIt8DLC3bj09S pt8DD6 YoccYir7Pa7BAY3tu
  • While you cook the syrup for Idol, keep ready the molds, with tight Rubberbands. (as shown in the image)
AVvXsEjyXsJ9l1uZUCMTs1cBQa dJ EGrRiGWFTuKYMhynepy0TCl K1zBVEWeDTQG3RQ3YvPY4H72eiffoxXCUJ h8 K yI6YrYFyKsju BYEtA Qa0Ooy4GNBHcuvXEajeJYKefue0psZ2HKuD9bDB1unr9CH2RLZGBLU kav6YZ9eawvjH pqaAf2AlTSAA=s320
NOW COMES THE MAKING OF IDOLS SAME AS MOLD

Take about 1/5 of the syrup you had just made in a small vessel.
AVvXsEh6amEkFHMK R1oV7PjFxd65y5qMluHD0yUKRifWk1 Y3qMKb2qALg6LVVla9CeIPOHe XZfqRUI GI05I55d0Er10tT8G6JnPR K09e8NQflTT8 H 0GR12sa0TBqQDzK4jwPOT6X5ZUNeVCD9ytVVULErsaPUpqOst ZYO RiD ZWR9h O0tT63A3g=s320
  • Keep it on a low flame and when it starts boiling, start stirring the liquid.
Important note:
YOU KNOW, THE SYRUP WHEN COOKED MORE GETS THICKENED LIKE A CONSISTENCY OF HONEY, AND WHEN STILL HEATED STARTS CRYSTALLIZING.
BUT NORMAL CRYSTALLIZATION MAKES A HARD IDOL, WHEREAS THE METHOD I HAVE SHOWN BELOW MAKES A VERY SOFT MOUTH-MELTING SUGAR IDOL.
  • The liquid starts boiling continuously with lots of froth on it and so you had to stir non-stop and from time to time try to settle the froth,
AVvXsEgIZtHWtCJ W q45PBeLEwddmTS8N0t5PXbnRIQr9aO3KHxjvEB7zjO0KYrWv7EZyKIG7DvrgtrbQgk287ZkUGs4KUrtGD5MHGyZh0wgvRg u ftzxryBNrasC7m8Ob4xBUEOBVqPxmm6YL8GiGfVA9 FTnpeiW7gOybY b387hWNpmkjp3pXh1cjo3yQ=s320
  • When you lift the syrup it should be as thick as honey.
AVvXsEgIo6UiqV8NwxN prkmSYsM7qEy6bqdUXioG8KCCL0Au27ktRoR5UAWPhaQdawygf8olDqezq67Kz
  • Now put off the stove and stir, you will see that the syrup is getting whiter and thicker.
  • Immediately pour into the mold,(when still in pouring consistency)

  • In a few mts, the molds are ready to open.
