QUICK BREAKFAST RECIPE WITH BREAD UPMA
INGREDIENTS NEEDED FOR MAKING BREAD UPMA
- Bread pieces -6-8 Bread slices cut into small cubes.
- Onions-3 medium, finely sliced
- Green chilies-4-5 finely chopped
- Freshly grated coconut-3-4 tablespoons
- Curry leaves-8-10 leaves finely cut
- Ginger gratings-1 inch piece
- Fresh coriander leaves-2 tablespoons roughly chopped.
- lemon-1 small sized
- Oil-2 tablespoons
- Chana dal-1 tablespoon
- Urad dal- 1 tablespoon
- Mustard seeds-1 teaspoon
- Cumin seeds-1 teaspoon
- Red chilly powder-1 teaspoon
- Table salt-1 teaspoon
- Turmeric powder-1/2 teaspoon
PREPARATIONS NEEDED FOR BREAD UPMA
- To cut the cubes of Bread, pile up 3-4 slices of bread pieces.
- No need to remove the brown outer covering.
- First, cut it in one direction and then in another direction as shown in the image.
- Now peel and cut the onions into thin slices.
- Chop, coriander leaves, curry leaves, and Green chilies.
- Grate the measured quantity of fresh coconut.
- Cut the lime into half and remove the seed.
- Keep all the garnishing ingredients ready.
METHOD OF MAKING BREAD UPMA
- Keep a kadhai on a low flame to heat.
- Now add oil to it, and let it get heated.
- Add cumin and mustard seeds to it. Let it crackle.
- Now add Chana and Urad dal and let it cook till it gets a golden color and gets crispy.
- Add the chopped green chilies, curry leaves, and grated ginger.
- Saute for a few seconds, and then add cut onions.
- Combine all of them adding turmeric powder.
- Saute till the onions are transparent and then add salt and Red chilly powder.
- Now is the time to add cut BREAD PIECES and combine all of them nicely light handedly.
- Cover and keep for a minute.
- Add lime juice and coriander leaves.
- You can add fresh coconut gratings now and mix.
- Now BREAD UPMA is ready.
