I will show you how to make gooseberry drink, cucumber, and tender coconut drinks

These drinks are very easy to make, readily digested, have excellent health benefits, and are still very awesome to drink.

 
In the summer season, you need to keep your body cool and healthy as this is the time when most people get stomach upset. You need to use the ingredients which are good for your health.
  1. Gooseberry or amla drink
  2. Cool cucumber drinks.
  3. Tender coconut drink.
  4. Aam panna (raw mango drink.
  5. Jaggery drink
Today we will see, how these are made and their health benefits.

AMLA OR GOOSEBERRY DRINK

 
Amla or Indian gooseberry is fully loaded with healthy nutrients.
  • It fights the common cold and improves eyesight.
  • Vitamin C in this is good for immunity and also helps in burning fat from your body.
  • It beautifies Hair and skin.
  • It is good for diabetics as it helps in controlling Blood sugar Levels.
  • It helps in checking Blood pressure.
  • It relieves pain.
The good thing about AMLA is that it can be consumed in many ways.
  • It can be taken raw in the form of juice & chutney.
  • It can be dried in sun by applying Salt.
  • It can be made into candy, using sugar.
  • It can be cooked as Morabba (amla cooked in sugar syrup)
  • It can also be used in the form of pickle (using salt and spices)

USING RAW AMLA TO MAKE  HEALTHY GOOSEBERRY DRINK

 
INGREDIENTS:

  1. Amla-3 numbers (cut)
  2. Ginger-1/2 inch piece
  3. Curry leaves-8-10 leaves
  4. Mint leaves-few
  5. Green chilly-1/8 of a chilly.
  6. Cumin seeds-1/2 teaspoon
  7. Pepper corns-12-16 in number
  8. Water-chilled -1.5 cups

PREPARATION S NEEDED TO MAKE GOOSEBERRY DRINK:

  • Put all the ingredients in a blender with a glass of water.

  •  Blend them to a smooth liquid.

  • Now strain the gooseberry drink through a strainer to remove the bigger particles and get a clear liquid.

  • Healthy gooseberry drink is ready to serve.

SERVE CHILLED AND TOP IT WITH FEW TENDER MINT LEAVES.
NOTE: Don’t worry about the residue, use it for making chutney.
 
COOL CUCUMBER DRINK
CUCUMBERS, Whether English or local, can be used for making the cool cucumber drink. 
They are very cool and refreshing.
 
CUCUMBERS are low in calories but have many vitamins and minerals.
  1. It has antioxidants, thus reducing the risk of Chronic Diseases.
  2. It promotes hydration, because of its rich water content.
  3. It helps full in weight loss.
  4. It reduces Blood sugar levels.
  5. Cucumbers are refreshing, and nutritious and can be taken both in raw and cooked form.
  6. cucumber salads can be just made easily adding salt pepper powder and lime juice.
Let us see the ingredients needed to make this Drink
Ingredients for English cucumber drink:-

  1. English cucumber-3 small
  2. Lime-1
  3. Ginger-3/4 inch piece
  4. Salt-a small pinch
  5. Mint leaves -to top up while serving
  6. Water-chilled or Ice cubes

                                                   Making of the English cucumber drink:-

  • Wash and cut the cucumbers into small pieces with skin.

  • Put it in a blender with a glass of water

  • Add the Ginger pieces also while blending.

  • Strain through a strainer and get the beautiful green liquid.

  • Now add a little salt and squeeze the lime.

cool- cool cucumber juice is ready to serve and drink.
 
INGREDIENTS: FOR (LOCAL CUCUMBER DRINK)

  1. Cucumber(local)-2 in numbers
  2. lime-Juice of 1/2 lime
  3. Mint leaves-12-15 leaves
  4. Roasted cumin powder-3/4 teaspoon
  5. Ginger-1 inch piece (cut)
  6. Rock salt or black salt-3/4 teaspoon

METHOD:-

  • Cut the local cucumber into small pieces after washing and peeling.
  • Remove the seed portion, if the seeds are big and not tender.

  • Now add the cut pieces into a blender jar and add 1 glass of water and blend the mixture to a liquid.

  • Pass the ground liquid through a strainer to get a clear liquid.

  • Now add, roasted Cumin seed powder, black salt, and lime juice.

THE COOL -COOL  CUCUMBER JUICE IS READY TO DRINK.
Serve chilled adding mint leaves on top.
 
TENDER COCONUT DRINK
  • The whole coconut is green in color and to extract water it has to be sliced from the top, the hole is made and the tender coconut water is taken out. This is therefore natural and healthy.
  • It’s a pure and tasty energy drink, with rich vitamins, minerals, and glucose.
  • Tender coconut drink is normally preferred to drink near Beach in hot summers..
  • It can be enjoyed straight from the coconut shell itself.
TENDER COCONUT WATER: 
  1. It is a natural electrolyte.
  2. It helps in digestion.
  3. It is a good source of potassium and sodium.
  4. It acts as a diuretic to flush extra water out from the body thus preventing kidney stones.
  5. The tender meat inside the coconut is high in fiber and so slows down digestion and makes you feel fuller for a longer period.
It is slightly sweet in taste, but sometimes it is not so.(depends on the soil it is grown)
At that time you can try the following recipe to make it tastier and healthier.
CHIA SEEDS; They have essential omega-3 fatty acids, antioxidants, and fiber.
INGREDIENTS:

  1. Tender coconut -1 
  2. Chia seeds (sabja)-1/2 teaspoon
  3. Lime-1/2 lime juice
  4. Tender coconut meat (soft coconut inside)-mashed 2 tablespoons
  5. Tender coconut cut-1 tablespoon
  6. Salt-1/4 teaspoon

METHOD:
  • Open the tender coconut and strain the water.
  • Take pre-soaked chia seeds with little water and mix them with tender coconut water.
  • Squeeze the lime juice and the smashed meat to it and give it a good mix.
  • Add salt and cut pieces of the tender coconut on top.
