TODAY’S RECIPE IS THE ROASTED KARELA SPICY CRISPS.
Table of Contents
- Take about 250 grams of KARELA OR BITTER GOURD.
- Wash them and slit them lengthwise to remove seeds, from the center portion.
- Now cut into small slices as shown below.
(THINNER THE SLICE, CRISPIER THE END PRODUCT).
- Spread the pieces on a towel or anything to dry them in shade.
- Drying overnight is the best option, do not dry in the sunlight.
- Now it will be Ready to Roast.
INGREDIENTS TO MAKE ROASTED KARELA SPICY CRISPS:-
- Take a thick-bottomed fry pan.
- Heat on a low flame,
- Add oil to it and also Asafoetida.
- Now add the karela pieces to it and Saute.
- Now start Roasting on low flame Flipping the karela pieces so that all the pieces get Evenly Roasted.
- When you touch and see, the pieces should feel crispy.
- At this stage add the rest of the masalas, ie; Salt, Rasam powder, Turmeric, and Aamchur (Dry mango powder).
- Combine all of them together and roast for another 1-2mts.
