MILK BIKKIES AND CHILLY BISCUITS


MILK BIKKIES, IS A VERY BASIC, HOMEMADE, CRISPY, EASY, HEALTHY, YUMMY, AND ATTRACTIVE BISCUIT, WHICH IS A FLOUR-BASED FOOD PRODUCT.

Biscuits are usually made with a combination of All-purpose flour (maida), sugar, and butter.+few flavors, to enhance taste and look. Different combinations lead to different tastes.

LET US LEARN HOW TO MAKE MILK BIKKIES 

INGREDIENTS:

  1. All-purpose flour (Maida)-75grams
  2. Powdered sugar- 50grams
  3. Unsalted butter-50 grams
  4. corn flour -10 grams
  5. Milk powder-15 grams
  6. Milk-2 tea spoon for making dough if needed
(ALUMINIUM FOIL TO USE DURING BAKING FOR LINING THE BAKING TRAY)

METHOD OF KNEADING DOUGH FOR THE MILK BIKKIES

  • Take a mixing bowl.
  • Add Butter (at room temperature)and Sugar powder and mix (cream)till it becomes light and fluffy with a whisk or electric beater.

  • Add corn flour and milk powder to the bowl and mix.

  • Now start adding maida slowly and knead a soft dough.
  • Divide the dough into equal-sized balls.

  • Take an aluminum sheet, greeze it, and keep the balls on it keeping a distance of 1 inch.

Baking of milk bikkies

PRE HEAT THE OVEN AT 110 DEGREE C 

  • Now keep the prepared tray to bake.
  • Bake for about 10 to 15 mts

NOTE: Don’t bake as the burnt biscuit becomes bitter
HOW TO MAKE CHILLY BISCUITS
CHILLY BISCUITS ARE ALSO VERY FLAKY, CRISPY, SPICY, AND TASTY TO RELISH.
These biscuits are made up of Maida in combination with green herbs, peppers salt, etc,.
Let us see the ingredients needed.
INGREDIENTS:

  1. Maida(all-purpose flour)-150 gram
  2. Butter-60 grams
  3. Powdered sugar-10 grams
  4. Salt-10 grams
  5. Baking powder-1/4 teaspoon
  6. Curds -1/2 cup or more as needed to knead the dough
  7. Curry leaves-10 -15 leaves, finely chopped
  8. Coriander leaves-handful, finely chopped
  9. Ginger-1 inch grated
  10. Green chilies-5-7 finely chopped
  11. Jeera powder or whole-3/4 teaspoon
  12. Black peppercorns – coarse powder 3/4 teaspoon
METHOD:
  • Sieve Maida with baking powder and salt.

  • Add the butter to Maida and mix in a mixing bowl with your fingertips.
  • Now add sugar powder and all cut herbs+pepper powder and cumin seeds.

  • Knead a tight dough, (like poori) as it will become a little loose later.

  • Now roll it with an even thickness of 1/8 inch, on a rolling board.
  • Now prick all over, with a fork or any sharp instrument.

  • Cut biscuits with a lid or a sharp edge glass.

  • Grease a baking tray or put parchment paper on the tray Greece paper and lay all the cut biscuits.
  • PRE-HEAT OVEN FOR 175 * C FOR 10 mts and then bake the Biscuits for 15 mts

SPICY, YUMMY, CHILLY BISCUITS ARE READY TO EAT.
NOTE: Cool and store in an airtight container.
