GOJJU POWDER OR GRAVY POWDER, is a very useful spice mixture, can be very easily made at home by using the very common ingredients which are readily available in almost every home.

You can make BITTER GOURD GRAVY, CAPSICUM GRAVY, LADIES FINGER GRAVY, ONION SHOOTS GRAVY. RAW TOMATO GRAVY etc,
Let us see how to make GOJJU POWDER OR GRAVY POWDER,
- Urad dal-6 tablespoon
- Chana dal-4 tablespoon
- Red chilies-12-15 in numbers
- Dry coconut-1/2 cup grated
- Curry leaves-16-20 in number
- Cumin seeds-1.5 teaspoon
- Methi seeds-1 teaspoon
- Asafoetida-1 peanut size
- Oil-1 teaspoon (for roasting)
PREPARATIONS NEEDED TO MAKE GOJJU POWDER
- Take a frying pan, and heat on a medium flame.
- When hot add Chana dal and dry roast till the color changes and smells nice. Remove on a plate to cool.
- In the same way, dry roast urad dal till golden brown in color.
- Dry roast coconut gratings till little brown.
- In the same way, roast Cumin seeds, Methi seeds, and Curry leaves.
- Now add 1 teaspoon of oil and roast red chilies, till crispy.
- Put all of them on a plate to cool.
- Take a mixer grinder and grind them to form a little coarse powder.
