RAW BANANA is a good source of dietary fiber, VITAMIN C, POTASSIUM, AND MANGANESE AND IS A VERY HELPFUL FOR PEOPLE WITH DIABETICS AS IT HAS a LOW GLYCEMIC INDEX.

This vegetable is available everywhere and, in all seasons, hence can be used at any time.

After knowing about the nutritional facts, we can consume it very safely. Let us make a Yummy, Easy, Spicy, and Tasty Dish using RAW BANANAS.

INGREDIENTS FOR RAW BANANA SABJI

  1. Raw banana -2 numbers
  2. Green chilies-4 -5 in numbers
  3. Oil-2 tablespoon.
  4. Mustard seeds 3/4 teaspoon
  5. Cumin seeds 3/4 teaspoon
  6. Carom seeds 3/4 teaspoon
  7. Red chili powder-1 teaspoon
  8. Coriander powder-1 teaspoon
  9. Garam masala-1 teaspoon
  10. Amchur (mango powder)-1 teaspoon
  11. Turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon
  12. Asafetida (hing)-pea nut size
  13. Table salt-1 teaspoon
PREPARATIONS NEEDED FOR BANANA SABJI
  • Firstly, you need to cut RAW BANANA, Select raw big-size green bananas.
  • Wash, peel, and cut them into half-moon style. (a round piece cut into half again).
  • Put them in a bowl of salt water to avoid discoloration. (1/2 spoon of salt is enough)

  • Cut green chilies and coriander leaves.
COOKING METHOD OF RAW BANANA SABJI
  • Firstly, keep a frying pan on low flame to heat.
  • Add 2 tablespoons of oil to it. Add mustard seeds, and let it crackle.
  • Add Asafetida to the pan.
  • Now add carom seeds and cumin seeds Saute for a few seconds.
  • Add green chilies cut into pieces.

  • Now add cut banana pieces to the pan and give a good mix.

  • Add Turmeric powder, red chili powder, Coriander powder, Amchur powder, Garam masala and salt. Give it a good mix to combine all the ingredients together.
  • It doesn’t need any water to cook.

  • Cook covered, for 3-4 mts, It cooks very fast, test breaking one piece and also taste for spices. If you find some tastes missing, you can add them at this stage too. (IT SHOULD BE HOT AND SPICY)
  • At last, add coriander leaves.
